Pan Pacific Singapore’s SG50 Staycation for a Singaporean Family

April 3, 2015 in Kids / Lifestyle / Media

Staycations have been increasingly popular in recent years, especially in my household. The kids have been bugging us with “can we stay at a hotel pleaseeee, mommmmy?” almost every other day ever since their first proper staycation last year. I must say, it is a great alternative to families who may not have the luxury of time to do overseas holidays as frequently as they hoped, but still wants the experience of a short “getaway”.

With the record number of long weekends we have in 2015, this has gotta be the best year to do a staycation, if you haven’t already!

In the spirit of celebrating the nation’s 50th birthday, Pan Pacific Hotels Group has launched a celebratory promotion, SG50 Staycation, available until 30 December 2015.
Exclusively for Singaporeans and Singapore residents, SG50 Staycation provides guests with benefits including complimentary breakfast for two, and a S$50 daily accumulative hotel credit!

So off we went, on a Singaporean-style staycation at Pan Pacific Singapore with the kids!

The kids were thrilled to finally be able to stay in a a hotel again, and went wild checking out the room..

that comes with an awesome view!

They could only play in a small area of the pool due to height limitations..

but there’s always the trusty bath tub in the hotel room for a warm dip, which my risk-averse son prefers any day!

The husb and I took turns to enjoy some other facilities of the hotel. While he got the kids to take their afternoon nap, I headed to St. Gregory Spa to get some knots sorted out. While I put the kids to bed at night, the husb went for a workout at the 24-hour fitness centre.

Complimentary breakfast for two at the Edge is included in the SG50 Staycation promotion.

Otherwise, try out other dining options in the hotel with the S$50 credit included in the promotion. The satay at the poolside was pretty good!

The proximity of Pan Pacific Singapore’s location to malls and amenities mean we can enjoy some of Singaporeans’ favourite past-time activities easily – shop, eat, and watch movie!

We watched a movie at Suntec City, which was just 10-15 minutes of walk from the hotel.

Went for a stroll after our dinner at Singapore Flyer.

And headed back..

for some shopping

and more indulging before returning to the hotel!

We had to promise that there will be other opportunities for hotel stays before they reluctantly let us check out of the hotel room.

Note: We were invited for the SG50 Staycation at Pan Pacific Singapore for the purpose of review.
